Choosing Institutions
The U.S. Department of Education has provided students and parents with a very useful online tool they can use to research prospective career colleges and technical schools. This unique internet based tool can be found at the Department of Education’s College Opportunities Online (COOL) website. COOL was created to help individuals make key decisions when deciding which career colleges or technical schools they plan to enroll at. The COOL website even allows students, parents or researchers to customize their search criteria, such as limiting their searches to only find institutions that participate in the Title IV program. This is an important detail for students that plan to apply for financial aid from the federal government.
