College Degree or Professional Certification for Employees
Researchers have found that one of the most important factors to employee satisfaction is having a supportive work environment. According to studies conducted in 1995, businesses in the United States invested over $55 billion on staff education and enrichment.
This is a substantial investment into a company’s future growth and success. Many people may believe that providing employees with better educations would potential result in the employees leaving the company to find better, higher paying careers.
However, the opposite tends to be the case. Employees that are given the opportunity to grow and promote themselves up the company ladder tend to stay longer with that company.
Some say it’s simply a sense of obligation and loyalty that compel employees to stay with the company even though they may have other opportunities after obtaining a college degree or professional certification. This makes complete sense since most people like to support those that help support them.
