Getting Students ACT Together
The ACT test is generally considered to be on par with the SAT test as far as the weight students scores carry when colleges and universities determine which students will and will not be accepted to enroll. There is a great deal of debate surrounding which of these tests is more valuable since they focus on different skills. The ACT test basically test a students general education level and helps determine whether or not they are ready to handle college coursework while the SAT generally measures critical thinking and comprehension skills. Prospective college students who take the ACT test will be tested in four main areas: English, reading, math and science.Referenced Source(s): ACT, http://www.ACT.org
