You can rest assured that if the school you are interested in is on the CHEA database, you will be attending an accredited school and receiving a valid education.
You can also find out by checking for different types of accreditation. Some schools that offer online education are accredited by the Distance Education Training Council. Just be sure that the accrediting organization is recognized by the CHEA.
