Online College Education Increases by 17%

It is becoming more and more popular to earn a college degree online. Due to the convenience of not having to travel to and from a campus and the low cost, online learning has increased by17% over the past few years.

A recent survey of over 2,500 colleges and universities found that about 4.6 million students were enrolled in at least one online class and online enrollment in the United States shows no signs of slowing.

Online education is establishing itself as demand remains strong and history shows us that when the economy is faltering, college enrollment increases.

Many working adults who never had the time or the money to attend college are now finding that they can finally afford to earn a college degree during their free time in the evenings and on weekends while still working their regular job.

As more and more top colleges and universities are offering online degree programs, more adults as well as recent high school grads are grabbing the opportunity to study from home. This trend is expected to continue for the next several years.
