Rasmussen College offers a Business Management AAS with Medical Office Administrative Emphasis

Rasmussen College students who are interested in business administration specialization can receive a specialized education that covers all of the general topics of business.

The Business Management AAS Degree-Medical Office Administration Emphasis program requires that students take courses in accounting, payroll accounting, customer service and business ethics, to name a few.

Students will learn all there is to know about how to keep medical records, medical terms, budgeting and planning. These students must also prove that they are adept in handling the complexities of payroll accounting. This includes keeping track of employee work hours, differing rates of pay and payroll deductions.

It is essential that the Rasmussen College students in this program know how to deal with customers. They must prove that they have the necessary skills needed to effectively communicate with a customer and will learn how to show empathy when a customer is not satisfied with the service.

Once the student has successfully completed this program at Rasmussen College, they will be well educated and prepared to work as a medical office manager. The successful student will have learned how to properly budget time, make and keep schedules and supervise people in a medical office setting.
