Scholarships

Another good source of funding for college-bound students are scholarships. There are literally hundreds of scholarships students can apply for but they all share a common trait and that is that as long as the student meets the requirements of the scholarship, they will receive funding that does not have to be repaid. Scholarships are available from a wide variety of sources including but not limited to both state and local government, community organizations, religious organizations, private sector businesses, public and private clubs and even from private citizens. Most scholarships require funding recipients to meet certain criteria to be eligible for funding. The criteria can range from academic excellence, ethnicity, religious affiliation, athletic prowess and any number of other factors.
