The Highlights of Southwest Florida College

At Southwest Florida College, students may elect to study online. Some of the degree programs offered can be completed in as little as 18 months. The diploma programs can be finished in just one year at Southwest.
The school also offers an Academic Success Center to its students that gives free tutoring to those students who need a bit of assistance.

Southwest Florida College was established in 1974 and it is a private, non-profit school that offers bachelor’s and associate’s degrees as well as diploma programs in allied health, computer aided design and drafting, early childhood education, legal justice as well as in business and information technology.

Southwest offers quarter terms that last 11 weeks and all programs offer daytime, evening and weekend classes.

There are typically around 1,700 students enrolled with over half being women at Southwest Florida College.  Applicants must possess a high school diploma or a GED and must go through a personal interview before being admitted into Southwest Florida College.
