US News & World Reports America’s Best Colleges 2009

The US News & World Report’s America’s Best Colleges 2009 are divided into various categories to assist you in your search for the best institutions ideal for your education requirements.

In the rankings for National Universities, Harvard University has the first spot, followed by Princeton University, Yale University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, respectively. For the Liberal Arts College rankings, Amherst College is number one, followed by Williams College, Swarthmore College and Wellesley College.

For institutions offering undergraduate business programs, the following colleges are ranked in order: University of Pennsylvania, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with the University of California and the University of Michigan both ranking 3rd place.

For colleges offering undergraduate Engineering programs, the following institutions are ranked accordingly: Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University and University of California (both in 2nd place), and California Institute of Technology, Georgia Institute of Technology, and University of Illinois (in 3rd).
